Bongani founded Croyance with a vision to build an independent, high-integrity sustainability advisory rooted in African realities and global standards. He leads the firm's strategic direction, client relationships, and thought leadership across all practice areas.

His professional journey spans education, environmental and social governance, and commercial and development finance — with a focus on aligning ESG integration with long-term enterprise value and responsible growth.

  • Master of Philosophy (MPhil) & Post Graduate Diploma (PGD): Sustainable Development Planning and Management (University of Stellenbosch) — Focussed on interdisciplinary, practical skills to address complex socio-ecological, climate, and governance challenges by emphasising sustainability transitions, systems thinking, and leadership for sustainable futures, particularly within an African context.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree (University of Free State) — Focussed on building a strong foundation in natural sciences, technology, and mathematical disciplines with the aim of cultivating a research-oriented mindset.
  • National Diploma: Chemical Engineering (University of Johannesburg) — Focussed on bridging academic theory with practical hands-on experience in chemical processing and designed to build competence for roles in manufacturing, energy, and environmental management, aligned with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) standards.
